- Supplying the needs of domestic downstream industries
- Expanding export and regional markets
- Reducing dependence on imports of certain resin grades
- Strengthening the production chain in the composite materials industry and related sectors
Project Introduction
The Unsaturated Polyester Resin (UPR) Production Plant Construction Project, with a nominal capacity of 20,000 tons per year, is one of the most significant development initiatives of Kavan Energy Qeshm Oil Industries Company in the chemical and polymer industries sector. This project has been defined with the objectives of establishing domestic production capacity, supplying part of the country’s market demand, expanding the resin product portfolio, creating a foundation for presence in regional and export markets, generating employment opportunities in southern regions, and contributing to the country’s foreign currency revenues.
Unsaturated Polyester Resins are among the widely used products in composite industries, fiberglass, FRP tanks and pipes, industrial equipment, marine industries, and construction sectors. Therefore, this project is recognized as one of the key pillars of Kavan Energy’s industrial development strategy.
